MasterClass: Small Habits

Selected to further our work in teaching and learning, the following MasterClass sessions are offered to help us reflect on and engage in conversation about how we understand the art and science of motivating growth.

Small Habits that Make a Big Impact on Your Life with James Clear

James Clear is the #1 New York Times bestselling author of Atomic Habits, one of the most widely read books on behavior change. This MasterClass extends the ideas from his book, updated for today’s challenges.

The course breaks down the underlying science of habits and equips learners with practical tools to effect positive changes in their lives, delivered across 10 video lessons of approximately 10 minutes each.

At its core, Clear teaches that small, consistent actions compound into remarkable results over time. Rather than fixating on goals alone, he shows how to build a collection of habits that create steady daily progress. Using his four-step habit loop – cue, craving, response, reward – and Four Laws of Behavior Change, learners discover how to build habits that stick and break the ones that don’t. The course also tackles modern challenges such as managing distractions, working remotely, and making the most of time outside the workday.

Clear’s ability to translate complex behavioral science into practical, implementable advice makes this course valuable for anyone looking to grow — whether in their professional practice or personal life.

The course wraps with practical, personal strategies for protecting your identity, finances, devices, and family.
